The Gov’t orders to move all illegal structures on the Tasal Dam, Kampong Speu Province immediately!

In a bid to ensure the preservation of the Tasal Dam Reservoir in Tasal Commune, Oral District, Kampong Speu Province, the Department of Water Resources and Meteorology of Kampong Speu Province has issued a firm directive to address the pressing issue of illegal structures encroaching upon the dam’s surface. In an official announcement dated July 18, 2023, the department sternly informed the owners of such structures to immediately cease their construction and dismantle them without delay.

The Tasal Dam, a vital water resource, requires vigilant protection to safeguard its integrity and functionality. As such, residents who have erected unauthorized constructions in close proximity to the dam are ordered to take swift action in dismantling these structures as per the notification’s instructions.

The authorities emphasize that any form of abuse, encroachment, or illegal building activity will not be tolerated, and strict legal measures will be taken against those who fail to comply.

The Government’s resolute stance on this matter underscores the significance of protecting natural resources and upholding regulations governing land use. It serves as a clear message that adherence to lawful guidelines is crucial in maintaining the ecological balance and preserving essential infrastructures.
