Gov’t urges real estate businesses to submit report on time

The Real Estate and Pawnshop Business Regulator (REPBR) has recently reminded all real estate developers, real estate service providers and pawning businesses to submit regular and accurate reports; otherwise will face fines.

These businesses must report directly to REBPR located at the UN building. No. 168F (7th floor), Street 598, Sangkat Chrang Chamnan 1, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh, every working hour.

For co-owned real estate, the owner must submit documents including a monthly report (within 1st week of the month), a quarterly report (within 2nd week of the new quarter), and an annual report (before April of each year.

Meanwhile, land business owners and pawnshop businesses must submit quarterly transaction reports and annual financial statements.

Real estate operators must submit a monthly report, a quarterly report, a semi-annual report, and an annual report.

The deadline is similar to that of the co-owned real estate operator.

In case of failure or delay in filing these reports, these businesses may face legal action, including fines, and prohibition of transactions and may lead to the suspension or revocation of licenses.

Real Estate and Pawnshop Business Regulator (REPBR) has recently issued a new Prakas to set the rules and procedures for the management and control of the real estate services business in the Kingdom. (Read more)
