Three days of Water Festival in Cambodia attracts more than 7 million tourists

During the three days of the Royal Water Festival in 2024, Cambodia attracted 7,844,388 tourists, and Phnom Penh has become the leading destination to receive tourists up to 6,292,187 peopleThis is according to the report published on the Facebook page of Samdech Prime Minister Hun Manet on November 18, 2024.

According to the report, during the three days of the recently concluded Royal Water Festival, Cambodia attracted 7,844,388 tourists, including 7,755,092 national tourists. 89,296 people and international tourists.

According to the same source, Phnom Penh attracted the most tourists, with 6,292,187 people, followed by Siem Reap with 348,229 people, Sihanoukville with 311,472 people, and Pailin province with 198,508 people. Kampot Province 134,622 people, Battambang Province 110,489 people. The other provinces have the following tourists:

Kep Province received 99,279 tourists, Svay Rieng Province 77,087 people, Mondulkiri Province 52,793 people, Kampong Speu Province 49,415 people, Pursat Province 46,291 people, Takeo Province 33,936 people Koh Kong 31,418 people, Kampong Chhnang province 22,697 people, Kandal province 21,689 people, Rattanakiri province 21,067 people, Stung Treng Province 14,566 people, Preah Vihear Province 13,364 people, Oddar Meanchey Province 12,552 people, Banteay Meanchey Province 12,032 people, Kampong Cham Province 9,838 people, Tbong Khmum Province 7,114 people, Kampong Thom Province 6 592 people, Kratie province 4,151 and Prey Veng province 2,367 people.

This year’s festival showcases the richness of Cambodia’s cultural heritage and marks a significant increase in the number of national and international tourists compared to 2023.
