Workwear Guru Ranks Best & Worst Countries for Construction Workers; Cambodia at 105th

Workwear Guru has recently issued a report ranking countries around the world from the best places to work as a construction worker to the worst based on average salary, safety, and cost of living.

Among the top ten best countries, six countries are located in Europe, two other –China and Singapore— are in Asia, and the rest are in North America.

The highest average salary for construction workers among all countries worldwide is US$79,159, which is in Switzerland, while the lowest average salary is US$875 is in Uzbekistan.

Countries in Africa are mostly at the bottom of the ranking. The worst places to work in the industry were Yemen and Uzbekistan for low salaries and Myanmar and Uganda for dangerous conditions.

Cambodia is ranked 105th among 125 countries, with an average annual
salary of US$5,723, a cost of living of 47.44, and a 23% accident rate.
