World Bank: Dealing With Construction Permits in Cambodia for 2019 Improved

Cambodia has improved its work on the ‘dealing with construction permits’ for 2019, according to the World Bank’s Doing Business Report 2019.

On 31 October, 2018, the World Bank published its report on doing business across 190 countries in which Cambodia has achieved reforms on the dealing with construction permits where the score has improved compared to 2018.

Among the 10 conditions to measure the ease of doing business in each country, the World Bank gave a 44.23 score (full score is 100) for the ‘dealing with construction permits’ in Cambodia for 2019, higher than the score in 2018 where Cambodia earns only 41.73.

In addition, for the same conditions (dealing with construction permits) the Doing Business 2019 showed that cost for warehouses has also decreased to 3.3%, lower than the 2018 rate where it stood at 5.3%.

However, regarding to the procedure, time, and building quality control for ‘dealing with construction permits’, Cambodia earns the same score as in 2018.

Every year, the World Bank publishes its Doing Business Report of which Cambodia ranks 138 out of 190 countries for the 2019 ranking.
