Honda plans to expand its capital in Cambodia while operating here for more than 25 years

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. plans to expand its investment in Cambodia through N.C.X. Co., Ltd, which has been doing business there for more than 25 years.

This decision came after a meeting between Samdech Hun Sen and Mr Minoru Kato, Executive Director and Vice President in charge of motorcycles, on September 20, 2024.

During the meeting, the CEO expressed gratitude to the Government for its continued support and facilitation and provided insights into the company’s investment and business expansion plans in Cambodia.

In response, the PM reaffirmed the Government of Cambodia’s support for the company’s business operations and encouraged the exploration of manufacturing components in Cambodia.

The Cambodian automotive and electronics sector is also being developed, with favourable policies and incentives for investment in the establishment of assembly plants and automobiles in Cambodia.

Additionally, Korean companies Camko Motor and Camko Infracore have announced plans to start assembling electric vehicles in Cambodia, reflecting the global growth and popularity of electric vehicles. (Read more)
