Feasibility of Phnom Penh Ring Road 4 studied

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) is currently studying the feasibility of a Phnom Penh Ring Road 4, as the project has already been added into the Phnom Penh infrastructure master plan, says MPWT Minister H.E. Sun Chanthol.

H.E. Sun Chanthol made the announcement during a press conference on the progress and future direction of the MPWT at the Council of Ministers on 21 February.

“Regarding Ring Road 4, we are currently studying the feasibility. However, I haven’t seen the progress of the study yet. However, we will build for sure,” said H.E. Sun Chanthol said.

“Even though I know, I will not provide any detail to the press yet. If the location is revealed, people will go and buy all the land around that area. The land price will go up, which also affects the construction expense,” he added.

Phnom Penh currently has two ring roads in use. A third is under construction, on which ground was broken on 14 January last year. (Read More)
