Construction begins on New ADB-funded US$10 million Beachfront Road in Kep

The construction new 12km beachfront concrete road in Kep province officially began with the groundbreaking ceremony presided over by Kep Governor HE Som Piseth on Tuesday 1 March.

This new road connects Koh Tonsay tourist port to NR1332 in the Damnak Chang Eur district. The project is being built with an ADB’s financing of US$10 million with a completion schedule in October 2023.

This project is part of ADB’s Greater Mekong Sub-region Tourism Infrastructure for Inclusive Growth Project phase II along with two other projects: the landfill and Koh Tonsay port. (Read more and more)

All three projects are scheduled to be completed in 2023 simultaneously.

Besides, the provincial administration is also working on the construction of a 2,700-meter public beach from Crab Market to the mangrove forest area. (Read more)
