Koh Rong Health Centre Officially Inaugurated

Construction of the first Koh Rong Health Centre has been completed and officially opened for public usage from Tuesday 2 November.

Sihanoukville Governor HE Kouch Chamroeun said this health centre is one of the government’s strategies to improve access to health services for local Koh Rong people.

“Before the establishment of this centre, people had to get on the boat and go to the mainland to get health service, which is not convenient. However, with this new one, people can come to receive services immediately and easier than before,” said HE Khouch Chamroeun.

HE Khouch Chamroeun added that the health centre building is also equipped with modern equipment to ensure a better quality of treatment.

Besides the health centre, the provincial administration will also soon put into operation the new administrative building and the one-stop service in Koh Rong to serve the needs of both local people and tourists.
