150 firms Attend Cambodia Architect and Décor Show 2017

Cambodia Architect and Décor 2017 expo is held for three days from 8th to 10th June, 2017 at Diamond Island Convention & Exhibition Center (Koh Pich), Phnom Penh Hosted for the second time in Cambodia, the show is organized by Thai-based ICVEX Co Ltd; a conglomerate group of creative business leaders in Thailand partnered with Cambodian Society of Architects (CSA).

This year show features 150 exhibiting companies from the leading local and international brands to showcase their latest innovative product/service, seek new opportunities and exchange on the growing importance of design in Cambodia’s booming construction and property markets. “The exhibitors, of which 70% are from countries outside Cambodia, will showcase best-in-class innovations and products to a wide range of visitors.

Besides bringing the best international designs to Cambodia, this three-day trade show also organizes unique educational seminars with various interesting topics, a student design competition and a networking architect dinner.

The Architect and Décor show was first organized by ICVex in 2014 in Myanmar with the great outcome that inspired the company to bring the show to Cambodia with the expect that it could highly benefit Cambodia, according to the company’s press release issued before the show.

“We created Cambodia Architecture & Decor Expo to help professionals engage with targeted potential customers, meet new contacts and identify new opportunities on the market.” said Mr. Ajinveat Vhongthong, ICVeX’s project manager at the show grand opening ceremony on June 8th, adding that, “According to the company survey from last year’s show, over US$18 million business value were expected to be generated from the last year exhibition.”

Speaking at the show’s opening event, H.E Phoeung Sophorn, the secretary of state of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction said he believes this 2nd show would be successful as previous year, stressing that the show is an important arena to exchange ideas related to construction and architecture.

“The construction sector in Cambodia has increased 163% in the past years, representing now an over $8 billion market. This exhibition will contribute to a better supply in the country”, he added.

Agreeing with H.E Phoeung Sophorn, President of Cambodia Society of Architects (CSA), Mr. Sin Socheat said the expo would showcase the high-end and innovative products/services as well as talented capacities that are now available in Cambodia.

“Nowadays there are lots of construction projects such as residential, commercial and office projects are being constructed across Cambodia especially in Phnom Penh” said Socheat, adding that, “This event will hopefully attract more investment into Cambodia”. Interested visitors in the construction, architecture and décor industries are encouraged to visit the show which is open to the public from 8:30AM to 7:00PM from June 8-10, 2017 at Diamond Island Exhibition and Convention Center.
