Hyatt Regency hotel Phnom Penh 90 percent complete, expected to open by this year

Construction of Cambodia’s first Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Phnom Penh is currently 90 percent completed and is on schedule to open by the year 2020.

An executive staff responsible for this project told Construction & Property Magazine that the project is going well following the schedule.

After completing the building structure in April last year, the construction team is currently working on the interior. At this stage, the project is about 90% complete, and is expected to open by 2020, according to the same source. (Read more)

Located in the heart of Phnom Penh between the Royal Palace and National Museum on St. 178, this 5-star hotel is the first-ever Hyatt-branded business in the kingdom. Construction has been underway since March 2017 with an investment of US$100 million by the Chip Mong Group.

The 14-story hotel will feature 247 rooms, restaurants, a fitness center, spa, and a rooftop swimming pool and bar with views of the Royal Palace and the Mekong and Tonlé Sap Rivers. (Read more)
