Ring Road 4 Feasibility Study Completed

Minister of Public Works and Transport HE Sun Chanthol said on 30 September that the Ministry has already completed the feasibility study of the Ring Road 4 project.

HE Sun said that despite the COVD-19 pandemic, the government has never stopped developing infrastructure. For example, the Ring Road 3 construction is ongoing as planned, while the feasibility study of the Ring Road 4 has already been completed.

The Ring Road 4 project has been studied and was added into the Phnom Penh infrastructure master plan some time ago. However, the government has yet to reveal the exact location of the route to prevent a spike in land prices. (Read more)

Meanwhile, Ring Road 3 connecting Phnom Penh to Kandal province is approximately 40% complete. In June, construction of a new flyover as part of the project also began. (Read more)

Besides the ring road, on the same day, HE Sun also mentioned other ongoing projects such as the expansion of NR 3 and 5, as well as the construction of the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway (scheduled for completion in September 2022).

He also mentioned that there are several projects on which the negotiations have completed, such as the Mekong River Bridge in Kratie province, Road 41, Road 31, Road 33, and Road 71C, among others.
