To date, the world’s longest sea bridge is the cable-stayed Hong Kong-Zhuhai bridge in China, stretching over 55 kilometres connecting Hong Kong, Macau, and Zhuhai city in mainland China. Cost over US$20 billion, the construction of the bridge began in 2009 and was completed and opened for the public in 2018.
