Preaek Pra Canal Land Encroachers Warned With Legal Action

The Chbar Ampov District Administration has warned about taking legal action against those who continue to build properties on both sides of the Preaek Pra canal in Sangkat Preaek Pra and Sangkat Prek Thmey after many soft warnings have been issued.

According to the warning letter issued on 24 March, the objective of stopping this encroachment is to ease the water flow of the canal, which plays a very significant role in flood prevention.

The district officials have thus far inspected the site many times and counted all preexisting encroachments. Besides instructing encroachers to demolish the illegal properties, the officials also repeatedly warned the public not to building more constructions.

However, the district administration still found some individuals disobeying the instructions. Therefore, this notice is a warning to take legal action without exception.
