Construction of PP-SHV Expressway Over 70% Complete

The construction of the 190-kilometre Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway was 70.93% complete as of November.

The updates were shared in an inspection visit led by HE Yit Bonna, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) on Friday 10 December.

Having started construction on March 2019, the road is being built by PPSHV Expressway Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Road Bridge Corporation (CRBC) and technical inspection firm Minconsult Sdn. Bhd.

The Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway Project is the first expressway project and the most important strategic corridor project in Cambodia. Once operational, it would reduce the travel time from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville Seaport from five hours to only two hours with a lower cost. (Read more)
