Meanwhile, Darasakor International Airport in Koh Kong province will be postponed again and will not be able to operate as planned.  Mao Keo Pich Chanmony, Director of Darasakor International Airport of the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation, told Construction and Property Magazine on May 13, 2023, that the company had already applied for a postponement and to reconfirm and set the launch schedule next time.  However, the company promises to try to complete the remaining work in the near future.

The Covid-19 pandemic has slowed the construction and supply of materials which affected the construction process and the planned budget.  The company requires more time to complete the construction and launch, according to the director of the airport.
