20 VN Corporate Investors Meet with CCA Seeking Business Partnerships to Import VN Products

In a promising initiative aimed at strengthening cross-border trade, the Cambodia Constructors Association, led by CCA President Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Canadia Bank and Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC), played host to an assembly of distinguished guests. On 15 September 2023, more than 20 prominent Vietnamese enterprises, led by the HCMC Association of Mechanical-Electrical Enterprises (HAMEE), converged to explore opportunities for business expansion into Cambodia.

Mr Chiv Sivpheng, CCA General Secretary, articulated their intent to delve into the Cambodian business landscape. Their mission encompasses not only establishing a formidable presence within Cambodia but also cultivating valuable partnerships to facilitate the importation of Vietnamese products into the thriving Cambodian market.

During the pivotal meeting, a representative of the HCMC Association of Mechanical-Electrical Enterprises (HAMEE), articulated a compelling perspective. With keen insight, acknowledge Cambodia’s ascent as a burgeoning market, characterised by robust economic activities, notably in the domains of construction and technology. This aligns harmoniously with Vietnam’s burgeoning prowess in technical, engineering, and electrical products. They also conveyed a resounding mission – one that transcends mere presence establishment within Cambodia. Their intent is to cultivate robust and mutually beneficial partnerships that streamline the importation of Vietnamese products into the dynamic and rapidly expanding Cambodian market.

The HCMC Association of Mechanical-Electrical Enterprises (HAMEE), a professional organisation founded under Decision No. 3259/QD-UB issued by the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on 31 May 2001, is at the forefront of Vietnam’s mechanical and electrical engineering sector. Comprising skilled managerial and technical experts, HAMEE unites diverse units operating across various economic domains in Ho Chi Minh City. Their collective mission is centred on advancing the mechanical and electrical engineering industry, aligning their efforts with state regulations, and fostering societal and economic growth.
