China wants to bring digital technology (3D screen – no glasses) to invest in Cambodia

A Chinese company is interested in investing in 3D-AI-free digital display technology and other tech sectors in Cambodia. The company specializes in mobile media expertise in 3D-AI-free digital display technology. The Ministry of Information announced this on September 16, 2024.

During a meeting with HE Sok Prasidh, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Information, and Mr. Ye Shaogan, the company’s President, she mentioned that the company aims to research new technologies and screens to produce 2D and 3D displays. The company plans to integrate 3D with 5G Internet, creating a unique new technology. The company also sees potential in the Cambodian market and wants to introduce this new 3D technology in public places, school buses, and as an educational tool for students in grades 1 through 12.

Mr Ye Shaogan also expressed the company’s hope that Cambodia will allow the introduction of this 3D AI screen technology to benefit the people and students in public and private schools.

HE Sok Prasidh supported the company’s project, emphasizing the importance of the private sector’s contribution to building 3D AI digital technology in Cambodia. He also advised the company to continue research and collaboration with relevant ministries and institutions to better understand the legal aspects and procedures of their investment projects.

Additionally, the company presented a study indicating that about 51% of the total population of China and 30% to 40% of people in Asia have cataracts. The 3D system is being developed to treat cataracts in children aged 6 to 18.
