This ambitious project was a key focus during a meeting between PM Hun Manet and Xuemei Chen, Chairman of Zhengzhou Chen’s Sun, on 6 November 2024 in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China.

Ms. Xuemei Chen highlighted Cambodia’s potential as a leader in the fruit industry, particularly in durian, often dubbed the “king of fruits.” She detailed plans to develop large-scale cultivation and processing operations to meet demand in both domestic and international markets, with a strong emphasis on boosting exports to China and other countries. Ms. Chen’s vision aligns with Cambodia’s growing emphasis on agricultural innovation and export diversification.
