European Companies Seek to Advance Medical Technology in Cambodia

In a significant step towards enhancing healthcare innovation, the European Wellness Biomedical Group is actively exploring opportunities to develop advanced medical technologies in Cambodia. This ambition was highlighted during a meeting between His Excellency Professor Lem Dara, Secretary of State for Health, and a delegation led by Professor Maike Chan, President of the Group.

Professor Chan, a distinguished figure in the field of immune system research and cell repair, emphasized the intent of the meeting: to discuss potential collaborations that could bring cutting-edge medical technologies to Cambodia. His expertise as a researcher, author, and innovator places him at the forefront of modern medical science.

During the discussions, H.E. Professor Dara outlined the Ministry of Health’s ongoing efforts, which include nine priority strategies aimed at reforming and improving the healthcare system in both the public and private sectors. Notably, he stressed the importance of training human resources and expanding services through the integration of internationally recognized technologies, particularly those endorsed by the World Health Organization, tailored to the Cambodian context.

In response to the Ministry’s initiatives, Professor Chan expressed his agreement and emphasized the Group’s willingness to further the dialogue. He highlighted the importance of creating training opportunities for health professionals in cutting-edge medical technologies recognized on a global scale.

As Cambodia seeks to enhance its healthcare capabilities, the collaboration with European companies promises a bright future for the development of advanced medical technologies, ensuring better healthcare for the nation.
