The Government of the People’s Republic of China has committed to supporting Cambodia in the construction of a new medical building at the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Referral Hospital. This project includes the provision of necessary medical equipment to improve the quality of healthcare for the public. The announcement was shared via the official Facebook page of the Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, His Excellency Wang Wenbin, on March 5, 2026.

During the official event, Ambassador Wang Wenbin expressed his honor in participating in the signing ceremony for the Exchange of Notes with His Excellency Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance. This agreement formalizes the project to upgrade the provincial hospital’s capabilities through Chinese government assistance. The partnership underscores the continued cooperation between the two nations in prioritizing health infrastructure development to benefit the Cambodian people.
