Gov’t approves four investment projects worth US$31M in PP, SHV, & Svay Rieng

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given permits to four private firms to invest in four projects worth over US$31 million in Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, and Svay Rieng.

The first company is Covered Bridge Cabinetry Manufacturing Co., Ltd. investing US$8.8 million in building a furniture factory in Sihanoukville.

The second company is SDJC STEEL AND WIRE (CAMBODIA) PRODUCTS CO., LTD., investing US$1 million to establish a factory to produce electrical equipment and plastic products in Svay Rieng Province.

The third company is SOLTEAM (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, which invests US$14.7 million to establish an electrical products and electronic equipment assembly factory in Phnom Penh.

The fourth company is WENDUA PACKAGING (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, which invests US$7.3 million to set up a factory to produce packaging materials and plastic bags in Svay Rieng Province.

These projects will help create up to 2,400 jobs for local people.
