In a remarkable display of gratitude and support, the Cambodian government has presented a total of 5,154 houses to veterans and their families by 2023. This significant achievement was highlighted by HE Mang Sineth, Deputy Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province, on the auspicious occasion of the 16th anniversary of the 21st Cambodian Veterans Day in June 2023.

The provision of these houses serves as a testament to the heroic examples and extraordinary contributions of the courageous female warriors within the Armed Forces. Their selfless sacrifices in defence of the nation’s cause are revered and appreciated by the Cambodian government and people, according to HE Deputy Governor.

“This collective sacrifice stands as a crucial contribution to safeguarding territorial integrity, fostering peace, and ensuring social stability, all of which lay the foundation for sustainable socio-economic development, benefiting the Cambodian homeland and people,” added HE.

The Veterans Association also issued a call to philanthropic entities within the private sector to continue their invaluable support in constructing houses for the deserving veterans who have dedicated their lives to bring peace and prosperity to their beloved motherland. This collaborative effort aims to elevate the living standards and overall well-being of these remarkable female warriors and their families.
