Cambodia to Build 10,000 4.0 Greenhouses Nationwide by 2032

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), in collaboration with three private firms, is planning to build over 10,000 4.0 Greenhouses nationwide in the next 10 years to upgrade and enhance the kingdom’s agricultural sector.

The Ministry signed an MoU on the project on 21 January between the three companies including Agri-Sambathkhmer Co., Ltd, PLMP Venture Capital Co., Ltd, and ISBP Group-Sun Business Investment Globe Co., Ltd.

This Green House Agriculture Technology 4.0 project is a modern tech-equipped greenhouse that will produce a minimum of 400 tons of vegetables per year. The products from the greenhouses are safe and sustainable for the local market. More importantly, the project will help connect the local community and international markets.

MAFF Minister HE Veng Sakhon stated that the project will help improve the value chain in accordance with the Cambodian Good Agricultural Practices (Cam-GAP) standard.

“In addition, the project will also help provide technical knowledge to farmers, aiming for safe and sustainable vegetable production,” he added.
