Cambodia Accelerates Industrial Growth with Two New Tyre Manufacturing Giants

Cambodia is set to welcome two new players in the tire manufacturing sector. The move will elevate the total count of tire factories in the country to five, marking a substantial expansion in the realm of rubber production.

During his address at the annual meeting of the Ministry of Commerce on 21 December, HE Chea Vuthy, Secretary-General of the Cambodia Investment Board (CIB) at the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), unveiled the impending investment project. “Soon, there will be two more companies establishing tire factories in Cambodia. All factories combined will consume about 500,000 tons of domestic rubber annually,” he announced.

Presently, Cambodia boasts three thriving tire factories, strategically located in Bavet city, Svay Rieng province (Read more), Sihanoukville (Read more), and Kratie province (Read more). These existing facilities have played a pivotal role in propelling Cambodia’s industrial prowess to new heights, contributing significantly to the nation’s economic growth.
