Cambodia’s Economy​ Projected to Grow by 6.6% in 2023

The Cambodian economy is predicted to achieve a growth rate of around 6.6% due to the expected continuation of the positive trend of global demand and investment confidence, while the COVID-19 crisis in the country is under control.

The government set the forecast for Cambodia’s economic growth in 2023 in the draft law on financial management for 2023, signed by Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia on 08 June.

The Strategic Framework and Programs for Economic Recovery in the Context of Living with the COVID-19 in a New Normal 2021-2023 will continue to contribute significantly to boosting and adding value to the existing growth promotion sub-sector, read the draft.

It will promote potential sub-sectors that new growth drivers, including the non-garment manufacturing and transport sub-sectors, as well as the development of SMEs.
