Cambodia’s Construction and Real Estate Sector to Benefit from Stronger Partnership between CCA and CVEA

The Cambodia Constructors Association (CCA) and the Cambodia Association of Appraisers and Realtors (CVEA) have pledged to work together to enhance Cambodia’s construction and real estate sector. In a meeting held on 25 April 2023, Mr. Sorn Seap, President of CVEA, and Oknha Charles Van, representing Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se, President of CCA, expressed their commitment to cooperate with each other and with the government to promote economic growth in the sector.

During the meeting, Oknha Charles Van warmly welcomed and firmly the position of cooperation between the two associations as well as other associations in the private sector to work with the government in strengthening and promoting economic growth in the construction and real estate sectors.

He also highlighted that CCA has been actively working with the government and relevant ministries to support the construction sector and Borey in Cambodia. CCA has also proposed eight key measures to boost economic growth in the sector. (read more). Furthermore, CCA has been involved in discussions with the Ministry of Economy and Finance to support economic stability post-COVID-19 and strengthen Cambodia’s global geopolitical influence.

Mr. Sorn Seap expressed his appreciation for the meeting and emphasized CVEA’s efforts to attract foreign investors in the real estate sector to Cambodia. CVEA has established special teams to promote the sector’s potential to investors from Japan, China, and English-speaking countries.

The CCA and CVEA’s partnership is expected to bring significant benefits to Cambodia’s construction and real estate sector. The strong partnership between the CCA and CVEA is a positive development for the sector and highlights the private sector’s commitment to supporting the government’s efforts to promote economic growth in Cambodia.
