Chip Mong Group to Build New Industrial Waste Management Facility in SSEZ

The Chip Mong Insee Cement Corporation (CMIC) has reached an agreement with its partner to build a new industrial waste management facility in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone to provide industrial waste recycling services to the factories within the zone.

The investment agreement was signed by the CEO of CMIC Mr Nicolas George
and the CEO of Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone (SSEZ) Mr Cao Jianjiang, on 20 July in the presence of Deputy Director of Preah Sihanouk Provincial Department of Environment Tep Sinora.

Mr Tep Sinora said that CMIC’s investment not only provides favourable conditions for the production, operation, and waste management to the local factories but also contributes significantly to improving safety, health and environmental quality.

CMIC is a joint venture firm between the Chip Mong Group of Cambodia and the Siam City Cement Corporation of Thailand and specializes in providing professional waste management solutions to a wide range of industries.

In December last year, CMIC officially opened an industrial waste management facility in Banteay Meas district, Kampot province. (Read more)
