Revitalising Connectivity: Reconstruction Completed for Collapsed Section of Mondulkiri’s Road 76

In a significant development, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport announced on 5 January 2024, that the reconstruction of Road 76, spanning from PK94 + 080 to PK94 + 150, has been completed and is now open to normal traffic.

The section of National Road No. 76 faced a collapse of approximately 166 metres at O’Ngei point in Andong Kraloeng village, Sen Monorom commune, Oreang district, Mondulkiri province, specifically between PK94 + 080 and PK94 + 150, on 1 August 2023. Following this incident, diligent efforts were put forth to rebuild the road, ensuring it meets safety standards and is conducive to smooth traffic flow. The newly constructed road segment, covering 425 metres with DBST rubber pads, has achieved a commendable 100% completion rate, welcoming all types of vehicles. (Read more)

National Road No. 76, famously known as the Snoul-Sen Monorom route, spans 127 kilometres and is constructed with a durable Double Bituminous Surface Treatment (DBST). The road construction, initiated in February 2007, reached completion in March 2011 and was officially inaugurated on 31 January 2012.
