Siem Reap 38-Road Project 100% Complete, Traffic Facility Work Over 72% Finished

The construction of 38 road infrastructure projects in Siem Reap have been completed as of 29 December 2021 as planned. Meanwhile, traffic facility setting up work is over 72% finished and scheduled for completion soon.

Minister of Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol said during the site inspection on 9 January that the main work of the 38-road project including pavements, sewage system, granite walkways, and others have been completed smoothly as planned.

Meanwhile, other works such as the installation of 200 security cameras, 5,003 street lighting poles, and 20 traffic lights, as well as landscaping is 72.74% complete.

In addition, the work to connect over 10,000 families to the drainage and sewage for free have also been 50% achieved.

Separately from the 38-road project, the NR6 renovation from the Sokha Hotel junction to the Siem Reap International Airport junction by ADB is also scheduled to be completed by the end of January. (Read more)
