Construction on New US$60m Ministry of Interior Headquarters to Begin on 11 November

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen has announced that the construction of the new Ministry of Interior’s headquarters worth over US$60 million will begin on 11 November.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction on the morning of 8 November, PM Samdech Hun Sen said the government has already prepared and approved the budget for this project, as it is a necessity for Cambodia to have a better workplace for government officials.

The new headquarters will be located inside the old complex in Bassac commune Sangkat Tonle Bassac in Chamkar Morn district. However, the government has yet to disclose the full details of the project. (Read more)
