China Invests Nearly USD 300 million to Build Glove Factory in Svay Rieng Province

 

Nex Healthcare Co., Ltd., a world-class Chinese company, has invested approximately USD 273 million to officially open a factory for the production of gloves (PVC and rubber) and medical equipment in the Qilu Special Economic Zone, Svay Rieng province, on 2 March 2025.

During the ground-breaking ceremony for the factory, HE Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Committee for Investment of Cambodia, welcomed the decision to build a factory on 21 hectares in the Svay Rieng province. He noted that the continuous increase in investment projects and the special economic zone itself confirm the ongoing development of the area, which is attracting a steady influx of investors and promoting consistent national economic growth.

According to Ms. Liu Wenjing, a representative of the company, Nex Healthcare Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Shandong Blue Sail Health Technology Co., Ltd. from Shandong province, People’s Republic of China. She added that the company’s medical glove factory ranks third globally, while its heart monitor equipment factory ranks fourth globally and second in China.

The new factory is expected to create numerous job opportunities for residents and stimulate regional development, contributing to Cambodia’s overall socio-economic advancement. As global demand for medical supplies continues to rise, Nex Healthcare views Cambodia as a key player in the industry, while the bilateral economic ties between China and Cambodia are growing stronger.

With this latest initiative, Nex Healthcare Co., Ltd. not only demonstrates the potential of special economic zones in Cambodia but also sets the stage for future investments that promise to drive the nation towards a prosperous economic future.
