Jinding Air Liquefaction Breaks Ground on $10 Million Industrial Gas Plant in Kampong Speu

Cambodia’s industrial supply chain achieved a major milestone with the official groundbreaking of the nation’s first large-scale industrial gas production facility in Kampong Speu province. Valued at over $10 million, the flagship project developed by Jinding Air Liquefaction (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. officially commenced construction on July 2, 2026, during a ceremony presided over by Kampong Speu Provincial Governor HE Cheam Chansophan. Situated within the Jincheng International Economic Zone, the facility marks a crucial advancement in expanding the Kingdom’s heavy manufacturing infrastructure.

Addressing attendees during the ceremony, Company Chairman Chen Chonghui explained that the strategic venture will enable Cambodia to achieve domestic self-sufficiency in critical industrial gases, including liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, and liquid argon. Describing these core gases as the essential lifeblood of modern industrial manufacturing, Chen emphasized that local production will significantly reduce reliance on foreign imports and secure supply chain stability for domestic factories. The $10 million capital investment covers land acquisition, plant construction, and the installation of advanced production machinery integrated with a fully automated control system.

Speaking at the event, Governor Cheam Chansophan highly commended the company for choosing Kampong Speu province as the site for its major capital commitment. The governor noted that establishing the province’s first large-scale gas production plant will not only fill a vital gap in the domestic liquid gas supply but will also serve as a powerful catalyst to attract additional heavy and high-tech industrial factories to the area.

The decision to launch the facility followed five months of thorough feasibility and market research conducted by the company starting in February 2026. Beyond bolstering the national industrial base, the project is expected to create new employment opportunities for local residents, contribute to state tax revenues, and drive overall national economic growth.
