ADB to Provide US$4.2 billion in Loans, Grants to Cambodia by 2021

As of 2021, the ADB has committed to 319 public sector loans, grants, and technical assistance totaling US$4.2 billion to Cambodia, according to the ADB Fact Sheet 2021 for Cambodia issued on 5 May.

The loan, grants, and technical assistance focus on education, health, infrastructure, rural development, energy, transportation, and other important sectors.

The ADB has financed program projects to boost the diversified economy while creating a competitive, and business environment, as well as providing appropriate financing to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

In addition to promoting sustainable and green urban infrastructure, the ADB is also focusing on financing the construction of roads, energy efficiency, and the urban environment.

The ADB is one of Cambodia’s largest sources of capital, and official development assistance with an average annual loan of US$329.8 million from 2016 to 2021.
