The Angkor Archaeological Park has seen a surge in foreign visitors, with over 236,000 recorded in the first three months of 2023, according to a news release by state-owned Angkor Enterprise on 1 April 2023. The park has generated over US$11.13 million in ticket sales revenue for the same period, marking a remarkable 1,265% increase compared to the first quarter of last year.

Angkor Enterprise further reported that the park’s revenue for March 2023 alone stood at US$348,700, a 1,010% increase from the same period in 2022, drawing 78,390 foreign visitors.

To encourage more visitors, the Cambodian government is offering a special promotion for foreigners who have lived in Cambodia for more than two years, granting them free access to the temple.

The fee for a single-day entrance pass is US$37, while a three-day pass costs US$62, and a seven-day pass is priced at US$72.

The impressive figures reflect the popularity of the iconic Angkor Wat temple complex, a must-visit attraction for tourists visiting Cambodia. With its stunning architecture and rich history, it is little wonder that Angkor Wat continues to draw in visitors worldwide.
