Cambodia Malaysia China High-Tech Park Worth US$300m on 100ha Near Phnom Penh to be Completed in Five Years

Global real estate network IQI has forged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish an advanced technology manufacturing park in Cambodia. The initial phase of the high-tech park, known as the Cambodia Malaysia China High-Tech Park, boasts a gross development value of US$300 million and spans an area of up to 100 hectares, with potential expansion to 2,000 hectares, according to Edgeprop dated 14 March 2024.

Situated in Kandal province, just 10 kilometres from the Phnom Penh CBD, the park is strategically positioned near established industrial zones and key infrastructure, including expressways.

Daniel Ho, IQI Global co-founder and group managing director, emphasised the park’s significance, stating, “This will be a world-class development just 10 km from the Phnom Penh CBD and served by excellent infrastructure, including two expressways.” Ho outlined ambitious goals to establish a sustainable high-tech ecosystem, leveraging existing demand from manufacturers and fostering growth within the ASEAN market.

In addition to creating a conducive environment for multinational companies, IQI plans to establish a vocational educational hub to equip Cambodian workers with modern skills. Ho expressed confidence in the project’s success, aiming to transform the MoU into a thriving industrial hub within five years.

IQI aims to attract manufacturing tenants through its platforms, facilitating cross-border investment and development for corporate customers, particularly from Malaysia, China, and other global players. The park will offer integrated amenities to enhance employee satisfaction and efficiency, including dining options, recreational facilities, and essential services.

Chandy Mann, founder of Premium Housing Group, highlighted the commitment to excellence in delivering the project on schedule and within budget. Premium Housing Group will collaborate with renowned engineers and architects to ensure outstanding facilities and compliance with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards.

The partnership between IQI and EdgeProp, established in 2022, integrates IQI’s ATLAS platform with EdgeProp’s marketing and branding solution. The MoU signing during the Digital Government Forum in Phnom Penh was attended by Malaysia’s Minister of Digital, Gobind Singh Deo. The Cambodia Malaysia China High-Tech Park, developed by Premium Housing Group, is poised to be a key player in Cambodia’s industrial landscape.
