Cambodia Uses Robots for Checking Drainage System

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) has used robots in checking drainage systems and replacing manpower, a step forwards to transport sector modernization.

The experiment was conducted during the Siem Reap city drainage system inspection by MPWT Minister HE Sun Chanthol on 13 September.

The use of robots to monitor the sewer system is a modern technology that comes with a camera that can see the real-time flow within the sewer system, such as congestion or damage so that officials can take timely action.

The purpose of the inspection was to find the cause of the flooding of some roads in Siem Reap city, causing the collapse of riverbanks and damaging some infrastructure.
