Cambodia’s E-Commerce Projected to Reach USD 1.1 Billion by Year-End
Cambodia’s e-commerce sector is set to achieve a remarkable milestone, with projections indicating that revenue will hit USD 1.1 billion by the end of 2025. This optimistic forecast was unveiled by the Minister of Commerce, Cham Nimal, at the opening of the “2nd Cambodia Digital Trade Forum and Online Exhibition” held on September 12, 2025. The event, themed “Building Cambodia’s Future through Digital Trade,” aims to address the evolving landscape of digital commerce in the country.
During his address, Minister of Commerce Cham Nimal highlighted the resilience and creativity of the Cambodian people, noting that the rapid growth of e-commerce reflects their innovative spirit. He further elaborated that by 2029, e-commerce revenues are anticipated to rise to approximately USD 1.8 billion, indicating significant growth potential in the sector.
To support this growth, the Ministry of Commerce is finalizing a “Draft Digital Trade Strategy,” which is designed to foster a more competitive digital trade environment. The strategy aims to enhance the policy framework governing e-commerce and promote the export of local products on both national and international platforms, particularly through CambodiaTrade.com.
The 2nd Cambodia Digital Trade Forum and Online Exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, serving as a platform for discussing the challenges and opportunities in digital trade and fostering collaboration among local and international players. As Cambodia embraces digitalization, the future of its e-commerce sector looks promising, paving the way for economic development and greater market access for Cambodian products.
