Cambodia’s Economy Expected to Grow at Approx. 5.6% in 2023

Cambodia’s economy is expected to grow at approximately 5.6% in 2023, slightly slower than expected.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance released the figures in a public forum on “Macroeconomic Management and Budget Law 2023” held on  25 January.

The main sectors supporting economic growth are manufacturing, agriculture, and tourism, the ministry said.

The construction and real estate sectors are expected to continue to have a slow pace with a growth of 1.1% and 1.2%, respectively, due to the slow recovery of foreign capital flow.

However, these sectors are continuously supported by investment and domestic demand (housing markets) and the rising trend of construction activities for the industry as well as domestic services.
