Cambodia’s Largest Construction Expo Successfully Held

The largest construction exhibition in Cambodia, organized by the Cambodia Constructors Association (CCA), has been successfully held from 1 to 3 December at the Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The three-day expo welcomed thousands of visitors to discuss and inquire about over 2,000 products and more than 50 services.

This year, the expo also includes workshops to disseminate construction laws, new construction regulations, construction inspection and certification procedures, and other relevant laws, as well as business networking parties.

The construction exhibition has become an important event of the year for the construction industry, as it has helped all businesses regain close ties after being suspended for more than two years.

CCA Chairman Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se said that since COVID-19 is still a challenge, this year there were only 79 companies with 150 booths showing over 2,000 products and 50 services.

“Products are both from domestic and imported from China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, France, Singapore, Japan, Germany, and so on,” he added.

The Secretary of State for the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction HE Leang Monirith said at the opening ceremony that in the last decade, the construction sector has grown steadily.

In the first nine months of 2022, the Ministry issued construction permits for a total of 3,176 projects or more than US$1.9 billion in investment value. Those projects include 20 Boreys and 98 high-rise buildings.
