CamDX Registers Construction Companies with Investment Capital of US$1bn & Real Estate Firms with US$921m

The innovative Online Business Registration Platform, CamDX, has emerged as a catalyst for economic growth, registering an impressive influx of investments within Cambodia’s construction and real estate domains. As of July 2023, the platform has facilitated the registration of construction companies boasting a combined investment capital of US$1.07 billion, while concurrently ushering in real estate enterprises with a remarkable investment sum of US$921 million.

The report released highlights the remarkable impact of CamDX, which has expedited the registration process for a total of 27,511 companies, collectively contributing more than US$8 billion to Cambodia’s evolving economic landscape. Within this thriving business ecosystem, the real estate sector emerges prominently, with 1,147 companies and enterprises actively engaged in real estate activities.

This monumental achievement is a testament to the strategic deployment of the Online Business Registration Platform, which was introduced in three transformative stages. The initial phase debuted in 2020, followed by a second phase in 2022, culminating in the third and most recent phase in July 2023. The concerted efforts of these stages have not only streamlined administrative procedures but also significantly reduced the associated time and costs, offering an unparalleled degree of convenience to the establishment of legally compliant businesses.

The transformative success of CamDX mirrors the Cambodian government’s commitment to fostering an environment of business-friendly innovation, catalysing investment inflows, and bolstering the growth trajectory of key sectors, including construction and real estate.
