Taiwanese Tech Giant ADATA Expresses Interest in Investing in Cambodia’s Technology Sector

 

In a significant development for Cambodia’s tech landscape, ADATA Technology Co., Ltd., a leading Taiwanese technology company, has officially expressed its interest in investing in the country’s advanced technology sector. This announcement came during a meeting between Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and ADATA Chairman Chen Simon held on 30 April 2025.

During their discussion, Chen Simon highlighted the company’s eagerness to not only invest but also collaborate with various Cambodian ministries and institutions to enhance training and human resource development in the field of advanced technology. This strategic focus aims to elevate Cambodia’s capabilities in the tech sector.

Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed ADATA’s interest, reiterating the Royal Government’s commitment to prioritising the development of the technology sector in Cambodia. He encouraged the company to engage further with relevant ministries to explore and seize investment opportunities.

This meeting follows an earlier announcement by ADATA Technology on 14 December 2023, regarding a substantial investment project exceeding 100 million US dollars aimed at constructing a factory in Cambodia dedicated to producing a range of electronic products. (Read more and more)
