CDC Approves 4 Major Projects Worth $US96.8million

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved four private companies to invest a total of approximately US$96.8 million in In Kratie, Svay Rieng and Sihanoukville provinces.

1- “L-Q New Energy Co., Ltd.” will build a solar panel factory located in the UBE Snoul Special Economic Zone, Kratie province, with an investment of US$84.5 million, creating about 1,000 jobs.

2- “Eastcam Casting Co., Ltd.” will establish a factory to produce and process steel pipes and process steel pipes of all kinds in the investment zone in Shandong Sansel SEZ Svay Rieng, Svay Rieng province, with an investment capital of US$5.8 million.

3- “MEGA HARDWOOD CO., LTD” will establish a factory to produce plywood and plywood in the Sihanoukville Special Economic with an investment capital of US$5 million.

4- “XIN JIN WEI GARMENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD” will establish a garment factory in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone with an investment capital of US$1.5 million.

According to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the four new projects will create 2,050 jobs.
