CDC Approves Six New Major Investment Projects Worth Almost US$80 million

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved a private investment of US$79.9 million to set up six factories in Phnom Penh, Kampong Speu, Kampong Chhnang and Kandal provinces:

  1. BAOSTEEL CAN MAKING (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD will establish a canning factory in Kraing Leav village, Sambo commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province with an investment capital of approximately US$50.7 million.
  2. GTV MOTOR CO., LTD. will establish a car assembly factory at Building 6A and 6B, National Road 3, Angkor village, Ang Por Peul commune, Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu province, with an investment capital of approximately US$5.6 million.
  3. GLOTEC (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. will establish a bamboo processing factory, in Anchanh village, Kdol Sen Chey commune, Teuk Phos district, Kampong Chhnang province, with an investment capital of approximately US$4.3 million.
  4. ECKL PACKAGING CO., LTD. will establish a plastic bag factory in Prey Khla village, Kraing Makak commune, Ang Snoul district, Kandal province, with an investment capital of approximately US$3.1 million.
  5. KONDA FURNITURE CO., LTD. The project is to establish a furniture factory (planned to be made of aluminium, steel and resin) with an investment location in Kob Chen village, Sambo commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province, with an investment capital of approximately US $ 2.3 million.
  6. K FINE (CAMBODIA) GARMENT CO., LTD. will establish a garment factory in Building A, Pov Ratana Street, Mol village, Dangkor commune elections, Dangkor district, Phnom Penh, with an investment capital of approximately 3.9 million US dollars.

According to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the six new projects will create 1,522 jobs.
