Chom Chao Flyover and Underpass Construction 55% Complete

Construction on the Chom Chao flyover and underpass is now 55% complete and is scheduled for completion by 2021, according to the Phnom Penh Department of Public Works and Transport.

Director of the Department of Public Works and Transport Sam Piseth said on 26 September that the team are currently actively working on the flyover while construction of the subway is approaching completion.

The Chom Chao flyover and underpass are being implemented by OCIC with a budget of US$22 million. The ground was broken on the project in June 2018 and will take 30 months to complete.

The whole project comprises five sections including the main flyover connecting Russian Blvd to NR 3, a bridge connecting Russain Blvd to Veng Sreng Road, a bridge connecting Veng Sreng Road to NR3, an underpass connecting Veng Sreng Road to NR4, and a road connecting NR 4 to Russian Blvd. (Read more and more)

After completion, the Chom Chao flyover will be the sixth flyover in the capital after Psar Dey Huy, Kbal Thnal, Stueng Mean Chey, 7 Makara, and 5 Makara.
