Chom Chao Flyover Temporarily Opened for Traffic

The Phnom Penh Municipal Administration has temporarily opened the under-construction Chom Chao Flyover for traffic to ease traffic congestion in the area.

Phnom Penh governor HE Khuong Sreng requested Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen to do so during the groundbreaking ceremony of two cable-stayed bridges on the morning of 26 October.

“I would like to request for the decision from Prime Minister to temporarily open for use of the flyover to ease traffic congestion in this area until the construction is completed and officially open in the near future,” said HE HE Khuong Sreng.

As of 26 October, construction on the Chom Chao flyover and underpass is at least 55% complete and is scheduled for completion by 2021. (Read more)
