City Hall to build New 30m Wide Road from Aeon Sen Sok to Win-Win Blvd.

Phnom Penh Municipality will build a new 30-metre-wide road connecting the Aeon Mall Sen Sok area to Win-Win Blvd next week, according to the Department of Public Works and Transport on 04 September.

This road will be built parallel with Phnom Penh’s main north canal, connecting Street 1003 (route entering Aeon Mall Sen Sok) to Win-Win Blvd in Russey Keo district. The road will help ease traffic congestion in the area in north Phnom Penh.

At approximately 6 kilometres long and 30 metres wide, the concrete road has six main lanes, a motorbike lane, 2-metre-wide sidewalks on both sides for pedestrians, and a proper drainage system.

The same source also stated that the groundbreaking ceremony is set for early next week under the presidency of Phnom Penh Governor HE Khuong Sreng.

To ease traffic congestion in the city, Phnom Penh Municipality has been actively enhancing a number of road systems. Recent projects include the road in front of the Cabinet Office, expansion of the road at the Sokimex Kbal Thnal junction, and a traffic readjustment at Wat Neak Voan Junction. (Read more)
