Construction of Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport 70% Complete by End 2022

The Angkor International Airport Investment (Cambodia) (AIAI) expects 70% of work to be complete on the Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport by the end of 2022.

The company confirmed this in the third quarterly meeting to monitor the implementation of the project held on 11 July.

HE Tekreth Samrach, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister and AIAI Chairman of the Board of Directors, started construction of the Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport continues normally, completing nearly 34% of the total project by the end of the second quarter of 2022.

“In some areas, such as electricity sub-stations, fuel storage stations and control towers, more than 70% has been completed, while the runway has been completed.”

AIAI is now committed to 50% of the entire project by the end of the third quarter, he said.

Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport is built on an area of ​​700 hectares with an investment capital of US$880 million.
