Techo International Airport Nears 50% Completion, Set to Soar in 2025

The grand vision of Techo International Airport is swiftly materializing, with construction progress reaching the impressive milestone of approximately 50%. Scheduled for a momentous opening in early 2025, this state-of-the-art aviation hub promises to revolutionize air travel in Cambodia.

During the signing ceremony of the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) joint venture agreement with Singapore’s esteemed SIA Engineering Company, Charles Vann, Director of Cambodia Airport Investment Co Ltd (CAIC), offered insights into the airport’s advancement.

“Currently, we have completed 50 percent of the construction, and we are diligently continuing our efforts to ensure a seamless operational launch by early 2025,” he revealed.

The Techo International Airport project, authorized by Cambodian government, has been entrusted to CAIC—a joint venture between the Royal Government of Cambodia and OCIC. This remarkable collaboration aims to construct and develop the new Phnom Penh International Airport, strategically located in Kandal and Takeo provinces, a mere 20 kilometres south of Phnom Penh.
