This pioneering creation, certified by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO), underscores CP Foods’ resolute commitment to reducing its ecological footprint.

CP Foods’ relentless pursuit of environmentally conscious practices has culminated in a diverse array of 23 fresh egg variations, including cage-free alternatives, earning the prestigious Carbon Footprint Reduction Label and Global Warming Reduction Label last year, according to Thaiger’s press on 10 August 2023.

A standout amongst these is the company’s cage-free egg brand, U Farm, which now takes the lead in launching the groundbreaking concept of the “carbon-neutral cage-free egg” in the Asian market.

Somkid Wannalukkhee, Head of CP Foods’ egg division, expressed the company’s unwavering dedication to cultivating low-carbon food products. He highlighted CP Foods’ string of innovative endeavors in the egg sector, including the development of automated egg conveyors to combat food wastage as per the directives of the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation. The company has also demonstrated its commitment by creatively repurposing eggshells and transitioning to sustainable energy sources such as solar panels and biogas systems in their layer farms and egg production facilities.

This launch ushers in a new era of conscientious consumption and underscores CP Foods’ role as a trailblazer in eco-friendly practices within the food industry.
